Introduction to the Service

The Archiginnasio Library, in collaboration with Biblioteca Salaborsa, the Cineteca, Centro Amilcar Cabral, the Istituto Gramsci Emilia- Romagna, the Biblioteca dell'Assemblea legislativa della Regione Emilia-Romagna, and the Centro di Documentazione Arcigay "Il Cassero" offers a reference service which can be accessed 24 hours a day. The librarians are experts in finding information and whatever is the search topic they can help you obtain an answer or a source in which you can find it.

To which questions are we able to respond?
We can accept simple questions relating to:

- Collections and services about libraries, film archives, and video archives
- Suggestions on information sources on paper or on-line
- Brief bibliography and filmography on specific topics
The location of books and periodicals
- The completion of bibliographic quotes
-Suggestions on the use of the online catalogue
- General information on facts and events in every field- general questions on regional, national and European legislation and also on administrative law.

On requests regarding pathologies or therapies, solutions about legal problems, hardware or software, heraldry and genealogical searches, or in the case of questions that entail commercial advise, we only can give you indication of the sources to check to get the requested information.
